PayGate for BACS

PayGate BACS is a full BASS approved solution designed for the small to medium sized organisation requiring a UK only payments processing capability. This on-premise gateway has the additional benefit of automating the processing and submission of payments and collections, with authorisation levels and permissions determined by the user to meet business needs.

PayGate BACS is unique in terms of its modular design, functionality and scalability. Additional PayGate Plus Modules can simply be added to increase the number of users, bank groups and payment standards. It is future proofed in that new payment standards can easily be added as they are required and/or introduced by the payment industry.

As organisations grow in size and complexity and face new challenges, the transition to full PayGate Enterprise functionality is seamless, with no disruption to daily business operations.

The PayGate BACS payments gateway is designed to meet all UK-only payment processing needs. Offering multi-user and multi-site configurations, PayGate BACS can also be used to bring centralised control of payments.

And as business needs change, it is easy to add specific PayGate Plus Modules to provide increased functionality, scalability and flexibility.

PayGate BACS includes sophisticated graphical workflow, enabling organisations to determine how they wish payment transactions to be processed.

This includes the ability to apply rules to determine the best method for submitting information and who needs to authorise payment data. Payments are automatically consolidated and forwarded to the correct network, with automatic least cost routing and reconciliation achieving straight through processing (STP).

PayGate BACS will generate emails when a task of exception needs urgent attention. When the user logs into PayGate the item will appear in their Action List.

Encryption for extra safeguards

PayGate BACS receives and manages data from any host system. Incoming data is encrypted to the best security standards, safeguarding it from the moment it leaves the financial application, across the LAN or WAN, until it reaches PayGate’s secure environment.

Fast and effective

PayGate BACS is not just secure, but fast too. It offers high speed (10/100 Mb and 1Gb) ethernet connectivity and support for all BACS communications methods, using the internet, the BACS dial-up extranet or the BACS fixed extranet.

Comprehensive administration features

With Paygate Enterprise, each user can have smart-card input via an individual, administrator-set profile, which determines their access privileges, authorisation and signing rights. Full audit trail and pre-set payment limits provide additional security.

Flexible reporting

PayGate Enterprise produces electronic reports in XML or HTML format, avoiding time-consuming and error-prone manual keying. You can view and print the reports immediately, or save them for later analysis.
